Hunter Sox is a fourth-generation Cayce resident and the current City Councilmember representing Cayce’s Third District. He was elected in 2021 as the city’s youngest member of council.

Sox grew up in the Greater Cayce-West Columbia community and is a graduate of Brookland-Cayce High School and the University of South Carolina.

His connection to the district stems from his family's deep ties to the area, with both sides operating small businesses. One formerly operated on Sox Street, and the other is still in business today on Airport Blvd. This personal history drives his commitment to supporting small businesses and fostering the potential of the district and corridor.
